Series 40 Hinged casement

Description

A strong hinged casement system in single or double leaf form designed for the treatment of larger windows and doors. It can also treat large double hung sash windows avoiding new sight lines when conservation needs are critical. The ability to accept thicker glass or sealed units allows for improved acoustic or thermal insulation and a strengthened lock option achieves ‘Secured by Design’ status for single casements. The vents are fitted with strong, purpose designed colour matched flush hinges, twin compression seals, a 90° stay arm and multi-point locking operated by a colour matched handle. Glazing must be specified in accordance with BS6262:2005 'Codes of Practice - Glazing for Buildings'
Options include alternative handles, locks, trickle ventilators fitted within enlarged timber head grounds and acoustic reveal linings to head and jambs.
Fixings are concealed within the frame, which may be linked to other frames with a colour-matched aluminium mullion/transom section or purpose designed timber mullions for bay windows.
