Series 20 Vertical sliding unit

Description  

A slim line vertical sliding unit suited to the treatment of traditional double hung sash windows. Adjustable spiral spring balances fully support the weight of the sash up to 20Kg and a recessed finger lift to the lower sash allows contra-sliding to facilitate cleaning and maintenance. A minimum gap between the windows of 75mm is recommended. Sashes have a slim 23mm wide interlock stile or an optional box interlock for wider windows and twin silicone treated polypropylene pile weather seals. Glazing must be specified in accordance with BS6262:2005 'Codes of Practice - Glazing for Buildings'

Options include locks, trickle ventilators fitted within enlarged timber head grounds and acoustic reveal linings to head and jambs.
All fixings are concealed within the frame, which may be linked to other frames with a colour-matched aluminium mullion/transom section or purpose designed timber mullions for bay windows.

Size guidelines 

Maximum sash dimensions: 1500mm wide x 1500mm high

Maximum sash area subject to 20Kg weight capacity
Minimum sash: 500mm wide x 400mm high
Sash width to height ratio should not normally exceed 3:1
